Our most recent project involves manufacturing, machining and supplying several 90mm lead screws to an engineering firm specialising in CNC milling and manual machining.
The WMH Transmissions team, located in our large facility in Tamworth received the order in early April. After requesting our assistance, the team promptly quoted the required products.
The Solution
According to the customer's specifications, we were able to start from scratch and create a custom solution to meet their needs. This involved whirling the lead screws, cutting them to length
and milling a keyway to enable torque transmission.
As an additional measure in the process, the customer provided us with a gauge. This gauge could be used to ensure the suitability of manufacturing before installing the part.
